The family-friendly event has been taking place for over 30 decades in the same region where Hawaii’s first sugar plantation was founded. 

Over 20 events take place throughout the festival. All happenings are geared towards highlighting plantation life and the natural beauty of the Koloa area. These activities include sporting events, live music, guided history walks, “talk stories” on plantation life and local history, and more. There’s also a parade, rodeo, and plenty of delicious food.

Koloa was once home to Hawaii’s first successful sugar mill. This is an area where families and merchants put down roots. Several of the historic buildings and sites found in this area are part of the Koloa Heritage Trail, including:
